On the National Register of Historic Places, the downtown hub is the adaptive reuse of Trinity United Methodist Church.
The mixed-use building houses a food hall and tap room, 4-distinct event spaces, and 15-apartments.
Northwest Square is seeking an Event Manager who will be responsible for marketing, booking, and managing events.
The four event spaces include a 300-person capacity Blackburn Ballroom; 250-person capacity Ford Hall; 200-person capacity Hartman Courtyard, and 65-person capacity Pierce Chapel.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate venue selection and logistics - Develop event timelines and calendars - Collaborate with clients to provide tours of the building, understand their event objectives and ensure their needs are met - Coordinate with preferred vendors and suppliers to secure necessary resources for events - Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown - Manage event staff and provide guidance and support as needed - Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement - Market event spaces online - Track inventory condition to determine when replacements are needed - Record event contracts and paperwork Requirements:
- Proven experience in event management or related field - Strong knowledge of hospitality industry practices and trends - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to anticipate client needs - Exceptional organizational and time management abilities - Strong negotiation and communication skills - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines - Proficient in budgeting and financial management If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for creating memorable events, we would love to hear from you.
