5K a year 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago The Assistant Director for Athletic Facilities & Operations at Stetson University plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing various aspects of the Athletic Department's facilities and game operations.
Under the general supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations, this team member is responsible for coordinating facility scheduling, game management, and supervising event staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:
Employment duties include, but are not limited to:
Supervising and overseeing event engagement for Stetson Athletics.
Coordinating and managing events for all Stetson sports, including facility scheduling, game operations, visiting team coordination, camps & clinics, and special events.
Assisting Associate AD for Facilities & Operations in facility management, including routine maintenance, work orders, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and capital projects.
Supervising Event Staff personnel, including student workers and part-time professional staff.
Coordinating with outside vendors, including Public Safety, security, and concessions.
Determining specific sport/event responsibilities for each season.
Completing responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics and the Associate AD for Operations & Facilities.
Ensuring compliance with all NCAA, A-SUN, Stetson University, and Athletics Department rules, regulations, and policies.
Required Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
The ability to effectively use Microsoft Word and Excel.
The ability to have an adaptable work schedule.
This includes working nights, weekends, and some holidays.
The ability to be reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
The ability to withstand extreme, humid temperatures present in Florida for extended periods of time.
This position includes conducting indoor and outdoor work.
The ability to meet physical demands required by the position.
This includes but is not limited to standing and/or walking for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting objects up to fifty pounds.
Required Experience A bachelor's degree is required.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University's auto insurance carrier.
Ideal Candidate:
A Master's degree is preferred; knowledge of the Banner system is preferred.
Two years of experience in game management and experience in collegiate facility management are preferred.
Salary Grade:
4.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
